Background:

The right-of-way acquisition for the Washington Street: Olive to Garnett, widening project has been approved for funding in the General Obligation Bond 2014. The City’s right-of-way agent has attempted unsuccessfully to negotiate with Nghi Uy Troung and Diem Thuy Khoa Nguyen, for Parcel 20, 20a, generally located at 11520 E 91st Street So. Section 20, Township 18 North, Range 14 East.  The attached Resolution of Necessity No. 1161 recommends that condemnation proceed on Parcel 20 and 20a for Fee Simple Permanent Right-of-Way and a Temporary Construction Easement.

 

Cost:                                                                To be determined by Commissioners (Est. around $3,680 plus court costs)

Funding Source:       Funding for this project is from the G.O. Bond 2014.
