Background:

The proposed project is at S 4th Street and Richmond St in the Oak Crest third Addition. The project would clean the channel behind the houses of all underbrush and saplings.

Staff investigated the site and found that the channel had not been cleaned in many years. The channel should be cleaned in order for the water to flow freely into the detention basin in Arrowhead park.  

The estimated construction cost to clean and repair the channel is approximately $30,000.00 in 2024 Dollars.

Staff is requesting $30,000.00 of the 2018 GO Bond, Proposition 6 for cleaning and repair of the channel.

This area flows to Broken Arrow Creek.
