title
Award the most advantageous bid to J & J Lawncare, LLC and approval of and authorization to execute the Stormwater Grounds Maintenance Agreement

End

Background:

The Streets and Stormwater Department has requested and sought quotes to secure a Bi-Annual mowing and trimming services agreement for 70 areas at various arterial right-of ways, primarily adjacent to subdivisions.  These services greatly improve the looks of the City and will free up assets to deal with other projects.

Six (6) vendors were solicited for a request for quotes, a total of three (3) quotes were received.

J & J Lawncare, LLC submitted the lowest quote at $9,165.00 per mowing cycle.  It is expected that approximately 30 cycles of mowing are needed.

Staff has reviewed the quotes and recommends awarding the stormwater grounds maintenance agreement to the most advantageous quote, J & J Lawncare, LLC for stormwater grounds maintenance.  The total estimated amount for each mowing season is $274,950.

Funds for these services have been appropriated and are available in the Broken Arrow Municipal Authority (BAMA) operations fund 2205305-540280.

Cost:                                                   $274,950
