Background:
At the August 15, 2023, Broken Arrow City Council meeting, city council approved the Manual of Fees for FY 24. Community Development has contractors/developers that have re-zoning and PUD that require legal notices to be advertised in the Tulsa World. Currently the contractor or developers is responsible to contact Tulsa World and do the legal notice. Community Development feels that it would in the best interest to handle this function in house to streamline the process and to make sure that the legal notice is correct and publish within the timeline required by law. Staff reviewed the costs for the last four months and the average is between $150-$165, so staff recommends charging $175 for the cost of the legal notice and administrative cost.
