Background:

On April 4, 2005, the Broken Arrow City Council passed an Ordinance creating the Judicial Nominating Committee. Broken Arrow Municipal Code Section 14-6 provides that the Committee shall be composed of five (5) lay members and four (4) attorneys. Committee members serve a term of three (3) years.  The lay members were appointed on May 4, 2021 and their terms expire May 4, 2024. The attorney members terms have now expired.

City Ordinance provides that the Mayor shall appoint the attorney members to the Judicial Nominating Committee subject to confirmation by the City Council. These attorney members will serve a three year term.
