title
Consideration, discussion, and possible award of the lowest responsible bid to R&L Construction, LLC and approve the execution of a construction contract for the Wolf Creek Drainage Improvements project (2453170)
End
Background:
The project will take place in the Wolf Creek Estates subdivision and the Brentwood estates subdivision. The subdivisions were platted in 1977 and 1978 respectively. The current stormwater system was installed about that time and is a failing 60-inch corrugated metal pipe (CMP). The CMP pipe runs down the middle of S Beech Ave west along Boston St and south along S Beech Avenue. The pipe is failing and has caused the road to be closed due to a safety issue. The project will be to replace the failing pipe and do a full depth and width road repair. The length of the contract is 90 days past the Notice to Proceed.
The project was advertised on March 5, 2024 and March 12, 2024. Ten (10) bids were received on March 26, 2024. The lowest responsible bid was R&L Construction, LLC for $393,852.00. The engineers estimate for the project was $434,719.00.
