Background:
The Broken Arrow City Council, on June 6, 2022, approved a recommendation from an Advisory Panel and staff to adopt a plan to redistrict the City Council Ward Boundaries, based on the 2020 U.S. Census population data and consider adoption of the same with Resolution and Ordinance.

According to the U.S. Census, the City of Broken Arrow's population was 113,540, on April 1, 2020. This Resolution proposes the following Ward Boundaries.

1) Ward 1 shall consist of all that portion of the city within the North and East portions of the city and contain all that portion of the city northerly and easterly of the following line: Beginning on the centerline of Albany Street at the midpoint between Olive Avenue and Aspen Avenue; thence east for approximately one mile along the centerline of Albany Street to its intersection with the centerline of the Broken Arrow Expressway; thence southeasterly along the centerline of the Broken Arrow Expressway to its intersection with the centerline of Elm Place; thence north along the centerline of Elm Place to its intersection with Albany Street and the boundary of State House districts 75 and 98; thence one mile east following the boundary line between State House Districts 75 and 98 to the intersection of Albany Street and 9th Street; thence continuing east for one mile along the centerline of Albany Street to its intersection with the centerline of 23rd Street (County Line Road); thence one mile south along the centerline of 23rd Street (County Line Road) to its intersection with the centerline of Kenosha Street; thence three miles east along the centerline of Kenosha Street to its intersection with the centerli...
