Approval of and authorization to execute Change Order No. 1 with Diversified Civil Contractors, LLC, for construction contract ST1941; New Orleans Sidewalk Improvements - Aspen to Elm

Background:
This project includes construction of approximately 6,100 feet of 5' wide concrete sidewalk as well as other miscellaneous work including: driveways, curb and gutter, storm sewer and concrete flumes, RCP extension with end section, vinyl coated chain link fence, an RCB pedestrian crossing, and concrete headwall structures. This sidewalk project is located along both the north and south sides of New Orleans Street from Aspen Avenue to Elm Place.
The project was advertised on October 25 and November 1, 2021. The lowest responsible bidder was Diversified Civil Contractors, LLC with a Total Bid of $390,217.00.
This Change Order #1 addresses the following additions /or deletions to the contract:
At the direction of City of Broken Arrow Engineering and Construction staff, the contractor has been instructed to install additional 10-foot trail within this project limits following the revised comprehensive plan for this area issued after the start of construction. Engineering Staff have identified these locations and extents within the attached markup set of plans.
The line-item quantities noted within this change order shall be extended such to contractually cover the associated additional work. A final reconcile change order may be processed upon completion of the project to finalize the actual installed quantities should they vary from the attached. The attached forecasted quantities report illustrates these quantities changes.
- Additional Contract Time - Due to the additional work associated, an additional 45 calendar days shall be added to the contract timeline.
