End
Background:
To assist the Streets and Stormwater Department in their street maintenance program, the Engineering and Construction Department advertised a “non-encumbered” contract for Portland Cement (PC) Concrete Repairs. The contract will be awarded based on unit prices, then work orders will be issued against the main contract for various PC Concrete Repairs. The contract will be awarded for a one-year period, with up to two possible renewals at the same unit prices.
The project was advertised for bids on May 17 and May 24, 2022. Bids were opened on June 14, 2022, and two (2) bids were received. The Certified Bid Tabulation is attached. The bids submitted were composed of thirty-eight (38) pay items to form the Total Base Bid. The lowest responsible bidder was Cook’s Consulting, LLC with a Total Bid of $377,525.00. The engineer’s estimate was $432,515.00.
Staff recommends awarding the bid to the lowest responsible bidder.
