Consideration, discussion, and possible approval of the formation of a Stakeholder Advisory Committee for the Complete Streets & Streetscaping Plan project

Background:
On May 17, 2022, City Council authorized the City Manager and staff to proceed with a Request for Qualifications process to select a professional consulting firm to prepare a Complete Streets and Streetscaping Plan for the City of Broken Arrow. As the RFQ process kicks off, staff recommends that an ad hoc Stakeholder Advisory Committee be formed and subsequent appointments be made to advise and inform the process from the beginning to the adoption of the Plan.
Pending City Council approval, the proposed Committee would made up of the following members and representations:
• City Council
• City Council Appointments (by each Council member)
• Planning Commission
• Chamber of Commerce
• Economic Development Corporation
• City Manager’s Appointment
The nominations of the City Council appointees shall be made by each City Council member, and they will inform the City Manager’s Office of their appointed individual by July 8, 2022.
