Approval of and authorization to execute a Professional Services Contract Amendment No. 1 between Kendig Keast Collaborative and the City of Broken Arrow for the Zoning Ordinance Update

Background:
On May 18, 2021, City Council approved to enter into a contract with Kendig Keast Collaborative (KKC) reimburse for the Zoning Ordinance Update. The initial stage of the project kicked off with the first public engagement activities in September of 2021, and the project is now in Stage 4 (Technical Drafting) of the process.
Contract Amendment No. 1 proposes to crate a new Task 4.6: Zoning District Reconfiguration. This amendment proposes that work will continue on technical drafting of the Zoning Ordinance Update, while KKC will additionally focus on reconfiguring of the Zoning Ordinance prior to moving forward on Module 2 of the draft Ordinance. The cost associated with this additional Task 4.6 is $17,775.
