Background:
On June 9, 2022, the Judicial Nominating Committee met to consider the positions of Presiding Judge and Alternate Judge. The Judicial Nominating Committee unanimously voted to recommend Steven E. Edgar be re-appointed to the position of Presiding Municipal Judge and Dennis A. Sagely be re-appointed to the position of Alternate Municipal Judge. Both Judges have requested to serve another two-year term as Municipal Judge.
Currently, the Presiding Judge, Steven E. Edgar, earns $3,980.31 plus FICA and Alternate Judge Dennis A. Sagely currently earns $195.12 per docket handled.
A proposal for a 3 % increase to the contracts has been suggested. Neither Judge has had any cost of living raise or increase in the contract rate since 2018. This would result in Judge Edgar earning $4,099.72 (an increase of $119.41) per month and Judge Sagely earning $200.97 (an increase of $5.85 per docket handled).
