Background:
As part of the Park and Recreation general operations budget funds were approved for the replacement of the shade structure at Wolf Creek Park. The project will consist of installation of an engineered Poligon 20’ square shade pavilion including concrete footings and concrete slab. The existing structure is in disrepair and will be removed by City forces.
The project was sent out for quotes from (4) qualified local contractors on April 5, 2022 and quotes were received by April 26, 2022. Two quotes were originally received. However, there was an increase in freight cost as since the original proposal has aged more than 30 days. The low quote was submitted by ASC Playground Adventures, in the amount of $39,249.
Funding for the construction work will be funded with Parks and Recreation 2018 Bond Issue, Project #196028.
