Background:
At the close of the 58th legislative session of the State of Oklahoma, changes were made to the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana laws. The preview ordinance brings the City of Broken Arrow into compliance with those changes and also addresses issues previously discussed by the Broken Arrow City Council.
A summary of the proposed changes are as follows:
* ? 7-386 amends the definition of caregiver to be consistent with the State's definition;
* ? 7-387 clarifies that issuance of a permit by the City does not confer a vested right of renewal in subsequent years;
* ? 7-388 requires medical marijuana dispensaries to provide the City with a copy of each renewed commercial license; clarifies the term of City's permit; expands on permit application and renewal process and associated fees;
* ? 7-389 requires medical marijuana commercial growers to provide the City with a copy of each renewed commercial license; clarifies the term of City's permit; expands on permit application and renewal process and associated fees;
