Background:
Previous policies for Battle Creek were held by Central Insurance Companies; however, Central no longer offers coverage for golf courses. The only quote received back was from Philadelphia Insurance Companies (PHLY), in the amount of $1,218.00 for the Commercial Umbrella Policy, and $43,970.00 for the Property Policy. Rates for FY 2022 through Central were $673.00 and $44,181.00, respectively.
Staff recommends approval of these policies with Philadelphia Insurance Companies for the period of July 1, 2022, through July 1, 2023. The policy premiums total $45,188.00. PHLY has provided industry leading expertise and unsurpassed customer service for more than 60 years as a premier national Property/Casualty and Professional Liability insurance carrier.
