Approval of and authorization for the purchase of an Exacom Interface with CentralSquare ProSuite for the Police Department
End
Background:
On May 19, 2020, the City Council approved the purchase of a new public safety software suite from CentralSquare Technologies. At the time of City Council approval, additional interface costs where pending with the Police Department related product vendors. Exacom, a recording device used by the Police Department was an interface requirement in the Public Safety Request For Proposal. Exacom is used to record Radio, E911 and some non-emergency telephone calls to the department. Exacom had not previously developed an interface with CentralSquare and discussion moved forward on this matter after the CentralSquare contract approval. Exacom has worked with CentralSquare to develop a bi-directional interface between the recorder and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD). This interface will link call and radio recordings directly into the CAD record.
