Background:
On February 2, 2021 Broken Arrow City Council authorized and executed Resolution 1378 declaring an emergency as a result of damage to the Elm Place and Aspen Avenue bridge approaches over the Creek Turnpike. Engineering and Construction Department staff negotiated a professional services agreement with Poe & Associates, Inc. to provide professional services for repairs to both the Elm Place and Aspen Avenue bridge approaches over the Creek Turnpike. The City Manager has executed the emergency professional services agreement and Poe & Associates, Inc. personnel have begun work. Personnel from the design firm have provided on-site field services over seeing the initial site exploration and have also provided repair plans for each bridge approach. Poe & Associates, Inc. personnel are currently overseeing the construction of the repairs which are anticipated to be complete within the next thirty (30) days.
In an effort to keep the governing body and the public apprised of administration's contractual actions. Staff is submitting the following professional consultant agreement, and construction contracts not subject to the State of Oklahoma Public Competitive Bid Act, for notification and ratification purposes.
