Background:
The Center for Arts, Innovation and Creativity is located at 302 South Main St. West, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The Center for Arts was designed, bid, awarded and is currently under construction.
During design of the project, several changes in the scope were identified that were not part of the original Agreement. These changes include removing the Broken Arrow Convention and Visitors Bureau from the building and removing the Sound Studio from the building. Both of those changes reflect a deduct in the fee for Selser Shaeffer by $40,155.
Other changes include the addition of a Fire Flow test required by the Fire Marshal, additional design changes in coordination with the construction manager in an attempt to keep the project within budget, and assistance with the FF&E acquisition for the building. These changes reflect an additional fee of $35,507.
The Engineer & Construction Department recommends amending the original contract with Selser Shaefer Architects by deducting $4,648 from the lump sum fee.
