Background:
Extra Mile Day is a day to recognize people and organizations who are creating positive change in their communities through their extra mile efforts in volunteerism and service. The organization Extra Mile America is inspired by the belief that "going the extra mile" opens doors to new possibilities, improves the results we find in our professional and personal life, and allows us to make a difference in our community and in our world.
Mayor Thurmond would like to recognize Kelley Rash, Jennifer Conway, and Darla Heller for their contribution and service to the City of Broken Arrow. Extra Mile America will feature each of these local heroes on its website.
