Background:
October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. National Mammography Day is October 16.
About 1 in 8 United States women (about 12%) will develop invasive breast cancer over the course of her lifetime. About 2,620 new cases of invasive breast cancer are expected to be diagnosed in men in 2020. Early detection and treatment has been shown to save lives.
Staff would like to recognize current patients, survivors, and the countless advocates, medical professionals, researchers, and caregivers who dedicate their lives to fighting for a world without breast cancer.
