Background:
David Nicholas, Chief Executive Officer of St. John Rehabilitation Hospital reached out to Mayor Craig Thurmond to request a proclamation to recognize the hard work and dedication of nurses during National Nurses Week, May 6 - 12, 2020. During the COVID-19 pandemic, honoring those in the medical profession is more important than ever.
St. John Rehabilitation Hospital serves patients recovering from strokes, brain/spinal cord injuries and limb loss. Hospital staff values providing high quality care to assist patients in regaining independence.
Mayor Thurmond presented the proclamation to the staff of St. John in honor of their service to the Broken Arrow community. City staff is asking that the Council ratify his signature on the proclamation.
