Consideration, discussion, and possible approval of and authorization to execute Resolution No. 1321, a Resolution of the Broken Arrow City Council designating up to seven parking spaces within the Rose District located between East Dallas Street and East Broadway Avenue on the East and West sides of Main Street to be designated reserved curbside pick-up only

Background:
On April 22, 2020 the State of Oklahoma published the Governor's Open Up and Recover Safely three-phase approach to open Oklahoma's economy. Phase I was fully implemented on May 1, 2020 and allowed the reopening of dining and entertainment as well as retail. Although allowed, many customers are reluctant to enter the establishments due to concern for social distancing; however, they will utilize curbside pick-up. In an effort to assist the financial viability of retail establishments in the Rose District, and the limited amount of excess parking along Main Street, a temporary Resolution is being requested to allow curbside pick-up in the district. The signs will read: Reserved for curbside pick-up only. The signs will be located on both the east and west side of Main Street between Dallas and Broadway. It is anticipated there will be no more than seven reserved curbside pick-up spaces. The temporary Resolution will expire on July 1, 2020. Due to the temporary status of the signs, City of Broken Arrow sign shop will produce the signs and they will be mounted in a container. The signs will not be attached to the light post.

Cost: $300.00 for signs and mounting
