Background:
Planning Commission members are appointed to serve three-year terms. The term of Planning Commissioner Lee Whelpley will expire of May 5, 2020. Mr. Whelpley has expressed his willingness to continue to serve on the Commission for another term. Mr. Whelpley was first appointed to the Planning Commission on May 17, 2011 and is completing his third term.
Mayor Craig Thurmond has recommended Mr. Whelpley be reappointed for a three-year term to expire on May 5, 2023, pursuant of Ordinance No. 3445.
