Background:

The Oklahoma Municipal Assurance Group (OMAG) is a provider of General Liability, Auto, Workers’ Compensation, Property and Risk Management services for Oklahoma cities and towns since 1977. It is governed by a seven-member Board nominated and elected by its members. The City has been a member of OMAG since 1982. The terms of three trustees expire on June 30, 2020. Thirteen individuals are nominated to fill the three vacancies. After a review of the biographical summary, staff recommends that the ballot be cast for Pam Polk, City Manager, City of Collinsville; Tim Lyon, City Manager, City of Midwest City; and Kim Peterson, Vice-Mayor, City of Poteau.

The other nominees are as follows:  Daniel Tarkington, Mayor, City of Checotah; Justin Battles, Assistant City Manager, City of Mustang; John Dean, City Manager, City of Durant; Ernie Lee Dowdell, Councilmember, City of Clinton; Lindsey Grigg, City Clerk, City of El Reno; Gerald Haury, Town Administrator, Town of Mannford; Russ Meacham, Chief Financial Officer, City of Perry; Stephen Mills, City Manager, City of Lindsay; Mark Whinnery, City Manager, City of Drumright; Scotty White, Mayor, City of Poteau.
