Background:
The Municipal Budget Act, adopted by the City Council, allows the City to amend the budget at any time during the year for necessary expenditures incurred that exceed the original budget or when circumstances warrant such action.
At the December 17, 2019 meeting the Authority approved a third Professional Service Agreement with Gershman, Brickner & Bratton, Inc. (GBB Solid Waste Management Consultants) for services related to implementing city-wide cart based refuse and recycling service. This budget amendment was not in the title and for transparency we are bring it back for approval. This will amend the budget to provide funding for Fiscal Year 2020 expenditures for the completion of the recycling pilot project and the initial expenditures for the implantation of the recycling project.
