Background:
Broken Arrow Public Schools is currently under design and planning to construct a STEM Academy at the north east corner of Albany Street and 23rd Street with the main entrance to the Academy off of Albany Street. In order to provide adequate access to the new STEM Academy, the City of Broken Arrow determined improvements to Albany Street, an existing two lane unimproved roadway, were needed as soon as possible. A design firm was needed to begin the Albany Street improvements immediately in order to complete roadway and bridge improvements in the same time frame as construction of the STEM Academy. With this in mind, the Engineering & Construction Department selected an A/E firm, Marquardt Engineering, PLLC, from the list of ranked and qualified firms which submitted statements of qualifications for the 2018 GO Bond Proposition 1, Transportation Projects, to negotiate a design contract.
Cost: $275,000.00
