Background:
The National League of Cities requires each member city to designate a voting delegate and an alternate to vote on business matters before its annual congress. Historically, Council has appointed the Mayor, Vice Mayor or City Manager to the delegate position; however, any official may be designated. All five Councilors will be attending this year. The City Manager will not be attending the business meeting portion of the conference. This year’s meeting is scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2019 in San Antonio, Texas.
