Presentation, Review, and Discussion of the status of the GO Plan implementation

End

Background:

On October 18, 2016, the City Council adopted the Go Plan with Resolution 943.  This plan recommended 136 miles of bicycle facilities, including signed routes, shared lane markings, bike lanes, cycle tracks, side paths, and trails.  Staff will make a short presentation regarding the status of implementing this plan.  For example, the Main Street Bike Way project, which goes from Washington Street to Kenosha Street has been completed.  Phase 1 expansion for a trail from the Creek Turnpike to Washington Street is in the process of being put out to bid by the Engineering and Construction Department.  Between 2018 and 2019, the Community Development Department applied for and received $3,500 in grants from Tulsa County Pathways to Health.  With this grant, the sign shop has installed 93 bike route signs.
