Presentation, discussion, and possible approval of the Museum Broken Arrow’s proposed building mural project

End

Background:

The Museum Broken Arrow (History Museum), located at 400 S. Main Street, would like to install a mural on the south exterior side of the building this year. They received a “Fresh Paint Days” grant from Keep Oklahoma Beautiful, Inc. to paint the south wall with primer in preparation for a mural painting. The primer painting must be done in September. The south wall is approximately 2,000 sf. The museum board has formed a committee to discuss mural designs, artist selection, and fundraising. They would like input and direction from City staff and council members before proceeding, due to the museum being a city-owned public building in the Rose District.
