Approval of and authorization to purchase one (1) 1/2 ton crew cab truck from John Vance for the Fire Department pursuant to the Oklahoma Statewide Contract SW35

Background:

The Fire Department has budgeted for the purchase of one (1) 1/2 Ton Truck.  Funds have been appropriated and are available in the Sales Tax Capital Improvement Fund in the amount of $45,000.00 for the purchase of this vehicle.   The truck will be purchased under the Oklahoma State Contract SW35 (item# 1000009315).  Pricing and selected options for the truck are reflected in the attached bid tabulation. The Fire Department recommends the bid from John Vance for one (1) ½ ton Ram 1500 truck as the most advantageous bid. Pursuant to the State Contract, John Vance can provide the Ram 1500 truck with identified options for $27,161.00. 

The Fire Department recommends that the Council approve the purchase of the Ram 1500 truck from John Vance.
