Background:
The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Entitlement program provides annual grants on a formula basis to entitled cities and counties to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons.
In the twelfth year of its participation in the Tulsa County Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Urban County, the City of Broken Arrow is expected to receive $470,520.85 as its allocation of funds. This represents an increase of $9,115 from the previous year’s allocation. Of this $470,520.85, $399,942.85 is allocated for public improvements, with the remaining $70,578.00 allocated to provision of public services.
As Tulsa County is the lead entity they are the recipient of the Urban County program funds. The City must contract with the County to receive its allocation of this year’s CDBG funds. The attached contracts memorialize this arrangement.
