Title:
title
Approval of and authorization to purchase four (4) 2020 Chevrolet Impala full-sized automobiles from Vance Chevrolet, pursuant to the Oklahoma Statewide Vehicle Contract, for the Police Department
End
Background:
The State of Oklahoma currently has two vendors with competitive bids for full-sized automobiles (sedans), Chevrolet and Dodge. Ford does not offer a full size vehicle. Law Enforcement agencies throughout the State of Oklahoma are able to purchase vehicles at the state contract price, which is advantageous to the political subdivisions by allowing them to make purchases at lower prices. The Police Department is seeking to purchase four (4) full-sized automobiles from the state bid contract. These vehicles will be assigned to the Criminal Investigations Division to accommodate increased personnel and replace older units.
Vance Chevrolet submitted the lowest state base bid price of $24,083.00 with options per vehicle for the 2020 Chevrolet Impala. Although the base price for a Dodge is $257 less than a Chevrolet, when the options for additional keys and deep tinted windows are added, the Chevrolet is the lowest bid by $84.
Funds have been appropriated and are available in the Police Public Safety Sales Tax Fund, Project #203004.
Cost: $96,332.00
