Background:

Bids were requested and sought from several vendors to purchase a variety of police equipment needed to equip five (5) Dodge Durango’s and five (5) Dodge Chargers. Only one vendor submitted a bid. 

The bid from 911 Custom met specifications at $121,057.68 and is recommended for purchase.  Fleet will be able to accommodate the equipment installation without substantially affecting overall service.  Installation services will be reevaluated at future vehicle outfitting needs.

Funds have been appropriated and are available in Police Department’s portion of the Sales Tax Capital Improvement Fund.
