Background:
The City Manager has recommended a Drainage Advisory Committee be created and composed of seven members to develop and recommend to the City Council potential drainage projects that comply with the requirements of state statutes regarding the expenditure of Proposition 6 funds from the 2018 General Obligation bond program. This Committee will advise City Council regarding the public benefits of recommended drainage projects to be funded by Proposition 6 funds, the anticipated project costs and proposed priorities for such drainage projects. Members will serve for a four year term.
Each Councilmember is entitled to nominate one appointment to the Committee, subject to confirmation by a majority of the entire membership of Council. The remaining two members of the Committee must be Broken Arrow City Council members.
