Background:
The Police Department requested and sought bids for police uniforms and equipment. Thirteen (13) vendors met the specifications. Baysinger’s Uniform’s and Equipment was the only source authorized to sell 5.11 Tactical brand uniforms and equipment.
This contract will provide an existing vendor and source to equip police recruits with their initial issue of 5.11 Tactical uniforms and equipment. Additionally, the contract will provide the entire Police Department with an existing vendor in which to replace unserviceable 5.11 Tactical uniform and equipment items quickly. The contract will be for fiscal year 2020 and has an option to be renewed for two additional years.
Staff recommends awarding the bid to Baysinger’s Uniform’s and Equipment.
Cost: Approximately $5,000 (Pricing based on new and replacement officer positions
