Background:

 

This item comes before the Council to advise of upcoming out-of-state travel by City Council members for September 2019:

Broken Arrow has been selected as one of eight cities across the United States to participate in the Mayors’ Institute on City Design (MICD). On September 4 - 6, Mayor Craig Thurmond will travel to Albuquerque, New Mexico to represent Broken Arrow and will join the seven other mayors and a team of design and development experts. Mayor Thurmond will present and obtain feedback on a case study from Broken Arrow that includes a critical design challenge the city is facing.

MICD will cover all costs for this trip.
