Consideration, discussion, and possible approval of an Amended Application #1 to the Tulsa County Vision Authority for Vision 2025 Surplus Funds for Streetscapes V
End
Background:
In December 2017 the City Council approved an application to the Tulsa County Vision Authority for $1,500,000 of Vision 2025 Surplus funding to design and continue Streetscape, intersection and sidewalk improvements from Detroit St to Elgin Street.
At the time of the original application, design and construction of the continuing Streetscapes was estimated to be $1,500,000. This project was advertised for bid in May 2019 and on June 17, 2019 City Council voted to award the construction contract to Diversified Civil Contractors, LLC in the amount of $1,866,093.53. As a result, an additional $400,000.00 is required to cover the cost of additional design work necessary to complete the project, provide for construction contingency, and pay for the construction of the project. Staff recommends amending the application to the Tulsa County Vision Authority adding the required $400,000.00.
