Background:
The City contracts with the Metropolitan Tulsa Transit Authority (Tulsa Transit) for public mass transportation services. The service operates both a flexible route through Broken Arrow during business hours and an express bus route to downtown Tulsa.
Tulsa Transit has been active in improving and modernizing its services and has proposed that a transit study be completed for the Broken Arrow routes.
Ted Rieck, Tulsa Transit General Manager will attend Monday’s meeting to propose that a study be prepared analyzing the existing transit services and present ways to modernize and improve the service to our citizens.
The scope of services is attached. The total cost of the study is $48,198 of which the City would pay 20% or $9,639.60. Sufficient funds are available in the General Fund to cover the costs of the study.
