Background:
To assist the Streets and Stormwater Department in their street maintenance program, the Engineering and Construction Department advertised a contract for Concrete Panel Replacement Street Repairs at Various Locations (Project No. ST1910-Vandever 6th Schedule A, ST1912-Aspen Pond Schedule B, ST1917-Forest Ridge Schedule C, ST1918-Millicent Pond Schedule D, ST1919-South Brook Schedule E & ST1920-Stacy Lynn VII Schedule F. The contract intention is to award based on the Total of Base Bids for Schedules A-F with contract duration of ninety (90) days.
Bid documents were prepared and advertised on May 13th and 20th, 2019 with seven bids being received and opened on June 4th, 2019. The low bidder was Cherokee Pride Construction, Inc. with a Total of Base Bids for Schedules A-F of $428,130.00 while the Total Engineer’s Estimate of Base Bids for Schedules A-F was $454,770.00.
