Background:
To assist the Streets and Stormwater Department in their street maintenance program, the Engineering and Construction Department advertised a “non-encumbered” contract for Wedgewood 2nd Addition Street Repair. The contract will be awarded based on unit prices, then work orders will be issued against the main contract for various concrete jobs. The contract will be awarded for a forty (40) days.
The project was advertised for bids on April 29 and May 6, 2019. Bids were opened on May 21, 2019 and five (5) bids were received. The Certified Bid Tabulation is attached and the Engineer’s Estimate was $317,510.00 with a total available project budget of $394,000.00. The lowest responsible bidder was Cherokee Pride Construction, Inc., with a bid of $297,110.00.
