Background:

The Arts OK of Broken Arrow and the City of Broken Arrow will be hosting the 6th annual Chalk It Up event May 31st and June 1st, 2019.  The special Events Committee review and recommended approval of the request for Special Event Permit in their meeting of March 7th, 2019. 

Road closure of Main Street will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 31st for set up.  The festivities will take place on Main Street from Commercial to Ft. Worth and side roads to the alley ways in the heart of the Rose District!

This year Arts OK of Broken Arrow is partnering with Keep Broken Arrow Beautiful and the City of Broken Arrow to provide an event full of art, music and beautiful Roses. The cost of the event includes music, stage, barricades, and portable restrooms. The Friday and Saturday festival will include a chalk art, local artisans, live music provided by local talented musicians, art exhibit, food trucks and much more!  The festival opens to the public beginning on Friday, May 31st from 5 pm to 12 am and continues on Saturday, June 1st from 9 am to 7 pm.  These events will be fun for the entire family and is free and open to the public.

The Rose District Farmers Market will also be part of the event on Saturday, June 1st.  This is a family event and is free and open to the public.
