Background:
In 2018 the BAMA reached out to HDR Engineering, Inc. to learn more from HDR about their experience with helping municipalities deal with taste and odor issues in drinking water. They have worked with several large municipalities in the past to come up with effective solutions to their water T&O issues.
Engineering and Construction Department negotiated a Professional Consultant Agreement with HDR Engineering, Inc. to do bench-scale evaluation, report & recommendations of treatment technologies capable of reducing impacts of MIB and geosmin on treated water taste and odor in the amount of $333,405.00.
Cost: $333,405.00
Funding Source: Reallocation of the 2015 FAP loan from the Oklahoma Water Resource Board (OWRB)
