Background:
In 2018 BAMA contracted Carollo Engineers, Inc. to study the Battle Creek tank as well as model the North Side of the water system. The results of this study showed that there were several different issues that needed to be addressed to correct the Battle Creek Tank loss of chlorine residual. The solutions to these issues proposed by Carollo included reconfiguring the inlets/outlets of the tank to improve mixing within the tank as well as installing a replacement irrigation pump station for Battle Creek Golf Course to maximize drawdown of Battle Creek Tank therefore increasing water turnover in the tank. The Engineering and Construction Department negotiated a Professional Consultant Agreement with Carollo Engineering, Inc. to provide engineering design for a new irrigation pump station at Battle Creek Golf Course and inlet/outlet improvements to Battle Creek Tank in the amount of $211,500.00.
Cost: $211,500.00
