Background:
In 2018 BAMA contracted Carollo Engineers, Inc. to study the Battle Creek tank as well as model the North Side of the water system. This study gave some good base information for capital improvements that can be made in the future to improve the water system. This Amendment is for Carollo to conduct further water age and water quality assessments of the existing distribution system to determine areas of concern and develop capital improvements plans to address these concerns in the future. Additionally, Carollo would model the proposed new elevated storage tank in the southern portion of the system to determine the appropriate size of the tank needed in the system. Finally, Carollo would study how to best decommission the elevated water storage tank in the high pressure zone for rehabilitation while maintaining reliable pressures in this zone.
The Engineering and Construction Department negotiated an Amendment to the Professional Consultant Agreement with Carollo Engineering, Inc. continue study on the water system to best plan for future capital improvements in the amount of $160,500.00.
Cost: $163,500.00
Funding Source: Reallocation of 2017 FAP Loan from the Oklahoma Water Resource Board. (OWRB)
