Approval of bids received and awarding the most advantageous bid to Hank’s Trucking for the purchase of a 1,200 tons of medium road salt with YPS (yellow prussiate of soda) for the Street Division

Background:
The Street Division has requested and sought bids for medium road salt. Eight (8) vendors were solicited to bid on this, and a total of three (3) bids were received. All three vendors meet specifications. Hank’s Trucking submitted a bid for a 1200 Tons of Medium Road Salt w/YPS meeting specifications and is low bid. Base pricing is reflected in the attached bid tabulation.
The total price for the Medium Road Salt w/YPS is $86,100.00 with a base price of $71.75 per ton. Funds for this purchase have been appropriated and are available in the amount of $88,000. (Acct. No. 030-5300-431.60-80)
