Title:

title

Approval of and authorization to execute an Interlocal School Resource Officer Agreement between the Union School District and the City of Broken Arrow

End

Background:

Union has public school facilities within the City of Broken Arrow and has requested the service of a School Resource Officer (SRO) from the City. The City believes that is in the best interests of the public safety of the citizens that Union be provided with one full-time SRO. To coincide with other municipalities and schools within their respective districts, the City of Broken Arrow and Union Public Schools have determined this partnership is beneficial to both and the costs should be shared by both entities. An inter-local agreement was drafted to memorialize this shared cost partnership for one (1) School Resource Officer.

Cost:                                                                $92,102.22 ($46,051.11 reimbursement by the Union Public Schools)

Funding Source:                     Police Public Safety Sales Tax fund

Requested By:                      Brandon C. Berryhill, Chief of Police
