Approval of and authorization to execute Resolution No. 1193, a Resolution approving participation in the Interlocal Agreement between the City of Harrah and the City of Mustang establishing Oklahoma Municipal Management Services

Background:

In July, 2018, the cities of Harrah and Mustang entered into an Interlocal Agreement (attached) which created a governing board known as the Oklahoma Municipal Management Services (OMMS) Board made up of six members chosen by member cities and chaired by a designee of the City Management Association of Oklahoma.  The purposes of the OMMS are to assist with the operations of Oklahoma municipalities by providing management assistance, studies, work session, and analysis of operations.  Services to be provided include municipal administration, grant administration, economic development, and community development.  The Agreement was approved by Oklahoma Attorney General on July 11, 2018.  Since that time, the member cities have expanded to include Mannford, Sand Springs, Claremore, Bixby, Purcell, Haskell, Glenpool, McAlester, Durant, Edmond, Mangum, McCloud, Sperry, Yukon, Piedmont, Prague, Collinsville, Norman, Ponca City, Talihina, Hugo, Chickasha and Tuttle.
