Presentation of the new memorial park located at 709 Magnolia Court and recognition of contributions by members of the Broken Arrow community

End

Background:

In 2015, Councilor Member Mike Lester began spearheading efforts to raise money through the Tulsa Community Foundation for the acquisition of real property located at 709 Magnolia Court. The City of Broken Arrow accepted the deed in 2017, and staff began working with an architect to create a conceptual plan for a memorial park. Construction began in 2018. This project was a community-wide effort made possible by several businesses and individuals throughout Broken Arrow. Construction was complete on or about the end of January 2019. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place later in March.

It is appropriate to recognize the contributions of our community partners on this project whether in time, money, materials, or other means of assistance and resources. Staff will also show a video of the completed park.
