Background:
The Utilities Department has budgeted for the purchase of one directional drilling machine to be utilized for boring under the road in the installation and repair of water and sewer lines. Funds for the purchase are available in the Departmental Capital Outlay for FY2019. Project No. 195402, Account No. 020-5400-434-7003.
The directional drilling machine will be purchased under the Oklahoma Statewide Contract for Drilling and Operation machinery. All State Departments, Boards, Commissions, Agencies and Institutions as well as Counties, School Districts and Municipalities may purchase machinery from this contract.
City staff has reviewed the bids received and identified the bid from Ditch Witch, Inc. at $89,277.68 as the lowest responsible bid and meets specifications.
