Background:
The Utilities Department has budgeted for the purchase of one tractor loader to be used for loading sludge, cleaning the flow equalization basin, unloading chemicals totes, moving roll-off containers, and brush-hogging the plant grounds at the Lynn Lane Wastewater Treatment Plant. Funds for the purchase are available in the Departmental Capital Outlay for FY2019. Project No. 195413.
Bid packages were sent to twelve (12) vendors. Five (5) bids were received and one (1) bid met specifications. City staff reviewed the bid for a 2019 Caterpillar 415F2 industrial tractor loader priced at $82,937.00 and identified it as the most advantageous bid that meets specifications. Staff recommends awarding the bid to Warren CAT.
